AMD 6 - Berlin.de

My final AMD will be about www.berlin.de. A large portion of the website is centered on tourismus und Berlins Sehenswürdigkeiten. Because Berlin, is big, beautiful, the capital, and it’s vast historical background. Some of the city’s largest attractions include the Reichstag (which is Germany’s parliament building), the Brandenburger Tor, Berliner Dom, Schloss und Schlosspark Charlottenburg, Fernsehturm (TV tower), Checkpoint Charlie, the Gedächtniskirche (on Kurfürstendamm, which is possibly my favorite area to go to), Potsdamer Platz, Siegessäule (also know as Victory Column), Tiergarten, Zoo Berlin, the Holocaust-Mahnmal (memorial), Gendarmenmarkt, the East-Side-Gallery/Berliner Mauer (where you can still a strip of the wall still standing, and painted over), Berliner Rathaus, Alexanderplatz, Olympiastadion, Funkturm (radio tower), and a ton of museums! The website give a very in depth description of all of these sights along with many others, their locations, and the most convenient routes to get to each destination by U-Bahn, Bus, Tram, oder S-Bahn. Another big thing is touren durch Berlin. There are numerous tours that go around the city ranging from bus tours, to bike, to walking tours. You can even take a boat tour and float through the city along the Spree River. I did a bus tour once and it was quite interesting. Also, if you go to Berlin, please go to Potsdam to see Schloss Sanssouci. Potsdam is a town just southwest of Berlin (but bordering it), and the Schloss and the surrounding garten ist sehr schön und wunderbar. Also, if you really like cars, go to Mercedes-Welt Berlin, Classic Remise Meilenwerk Berlin, Porsche, Ferrari, und Audi dealerships. Most of them are all situated in a small area between Charlottenburg, Hansaviertel, und Moabit. If you have any questions or want to read/see more for yourself, click on the link above.
